I am a clinical psychologist and am inspired in my work by psychoanalysis and its view of the dynamics of the unconscious. My services include psychotherapy, psychological counseling and diagnostics based on a practitioner's license.

My background

I completed my psychology studies with a clinical focus in February 2021 with a Bachelor's and Master's degree. Subsequently, I received the license for professional practice of medicine in the field of psychotherapy. As part of my advanced training to become a psychotherapist in psychoanalysis and psychodynamic psychotherapy, I already conduct outpatient treatments of patients. Previously, I studied and received my doctorate in gender studies and have been working as an independent speaker in the areas of masculinity, sexuality, psychoanalysis and gender studies since 2012.

Billing,
and legal framework

I offer psychotherapy services based on on my permission to practice psychotherapy under the German Heilpraktikergesetz (§ 1 HeilprG). This is not statutory or licensed psychotherapy covered by health insurance, but a service for self-paying clients.

This license is specifically intended for professionals with psychological and clinical training and allows me to provide psychotherapy independently of the health insurance system. The term “Heilpraktiker” can be misleading in this context. My work is grounded in scientifically based methods – not in alternative or esoteric approaches.

Many clients find self-financed therapy to be relieving, as it allows them to begin quickly and ensures that no data is shared with health insurance companies.
